Christy wants to take you to "A Better Place" with his new single

Christy is gearing up to release two full EPs over the next months. The first one, completely acoustic, arrives on June 11th, and will feature his new single "A Better Place".

The Scottish songwriter has made a name of himself through anthemic folk pop songs and stripped back acoustic tunes with crystal clear lucidity. "A Better Place" (mixed by Jonathan Gilmore, known for his work with The 1975, beabadoobee, Rag'n'Bone Man) with its lugubrious piano belongs to the latter.

"'A Better Place' is very nostalgic for me. This was the first song I wrote that kicked off my whole musical journey," Christy remembers. "I wrote it 4 years ago, while I was working in Paris at a time in my life where everything was changing rapidly and going very fast paced. Looking back on that now, I remember it as one of the best times in my life. For this reason ‘A Better Place’ means a hell of a lot to me, we decided to record it as a live take to capture the most raw, emotive performance."

"A Better Place" is part of Christy's new acoustic EP, out June 11th.
